Your purpose & impact:

As a Technical Lead you will own the implementation and strategic direction for Estrid’s technical platform. You will guide fellow developers in delivering on the Tech strategy and work as the most senior and technical partner in architectural decisions and implementation. You lead by showing the way and a coaching mentality is required to be successful in the role.

In this role you will play a part in what we make and will have a say in what we do and how we will get there from a technical perspective. We want to build an environment where it’s fun to come to work and in order to do so, you will likely be the type of person who thrives in what truly is a fast-paced and agile environment.

Some of the things you’ll do:

• Steer the development efforts with a hands-on approach in building Estrids platform and digital services

• Set the Tech strategy and be the systems architect for the entire Estrid.com (and beyond!) tech stack

• Read, write and review application code, with a focus on creating a maintainable codebase that is easy to understand

• Lead team members in defining and implementing new features

• Communicate persuasively with peers to inspire cooperation

• Make well-reasoned decisions regarding our technology platform that inspire and energize others

• Build scalable and highly available systems that follow operational best practices

• Build observable systems to enable continuous learning and improvement

• Work with our Product Owner and stakeholders in ensuring we build a platform that is highly adaptable to suit our business needs
  

Your skills and experiences: 

• Most likely 7+ years experience with software development

• Academic degree in Computer Science or a related technical field involving coding (e.g., physics or mathematics), or equivalent technical experience

• Full-stack background using modern javascript/typescript libraries

• Proven experience in building scalable systems

• Solid written and verbal communication skills

• Solid experience with systems architecture design, DevOps and GitOps

• Solid experience within AWS or other cloud platforms

• Solid knowledge of testing principles

• Background in E-commerce is meriting
